How to Charge Android Phone Faster

Do you know that there are tips and tricks to get your phone charging faster? It isn't as easy as just plugging in your charger. So let's learn these tricks below. Do you use your phone constantly so that you have to charge often which is frustrating. You can't even go a full day watching a movie without charging your phone in between several times?

Unfortunately, If we charge our device twice a day it won't show any sign of the battery going down very soon. As you charge it constantly the apps consume more power and the operating system keeps on working. By doing this the battery capacity increases.

Even though your device comes with a stable USB-C cable, the charge diminishes until it gives you that power up to your device and it consumes so much of your time. Sometimes it gets annoying when you are waiting for hours until your device charges.

What is USB type C?

Heard of the USB that you struggle to plug in your device right away? Well USB-C type is available everywhere and is well known for its defects.

Now let's learn some smartest Android tips and tricks to have a less annoying charging experience. Will also look into some gadget which will make this easy so don't fret about it.

How to Charge Android Phone Faster

Enable airplane mode

Do you know what drains your battery the most? The biggest culprit that drains your battery is the network signals. Interrupted and bad signals can make your battery drain faster while they keep on searching for a better signal.

If you live in an area where the signal is very poor your charging will take more time than living in a place with good signal. The signal is consuming most of your phone's power while you are charging. The result of living in certain areas matters.

Do you know a trick to curb this situation? The trick is you have put your phone in airplane mode while it is charging. This will stop searching for signals and will result in charging quicker than it usually does. Our testing says this will reduce the amount of charge by at least 25 percent. Interesting right?

It is very easy to switch your phone to airplane mode. You simply have to swipe down the notification bar and hit the 'Airplane mode' icon. That's it.
One important thing is that you should always remember to turn it off when you are done with charging.

Turn off the phone

As we all know that charging our phone while the device is switched off will result in quicker charge. But we rarely implement this method. No apps or any other system will drain your battery while charging it with the device switched off. One simple trick isn't it?

Ensure charge mode is enabled

When you plug in a USB cable the device often lets you know what type of connection you should make. But in the latest version of Android it is not to be seen as it is somewhere within the developers option menu.

Now let's take a look at how to sneak into the developers option to enable them. First go to 'Settings > About phone > Build number.

Now you have to click on the build number 7 times swiftly. When the first two taps are done your phone will indicate a countdown on screen of how many more times you have to tap.

Then move on to 'Settings > Developer options > Select USB configuration'. Finally you have to select 'Charging'. That's all.

Use a wall socket to charge

Have you noticed that when you charge your device using a USB port on a computer or on your car it gives a sloppy experience. Your phone doesn't charge quickly as you expected.

Using your USB to charge this way wouldn't do any harm to your device but it's time consuming. A USB which is non socketed will only output 0.5A power whereas using a wall socket plugged in charger would give you around 1A power depending on your device. Using low amp is not that concerning as but it takes more time.

Use power bank

We often travel and our batteries don't last longer so charging our device gets really very necessary. We humans can't live without our mobile devices so investing in a power bank becomes quite handy when the charge goes down.

Power banks are more advanced these days; they provide the same Ampere or even more power than some wall sockets. Make sure your USB cable can handle the extra power of the amperage. This is really necessary even though it charges your device quickly.

Avoiding wireless charging

Wireless charging doesn't need extra cable and it is something that seems very convenient so I'm not really going to talking ill about wireless charging but let's take a look.

We all need our phones to charge quickly as possible so if this is your motive then wireless charging should be avoided. Wireless charger offers your device a very slow charging experience compared to other charging methods. They can be 50 percent slower than other modes of charging which is a no no.

Why do you think it is slow? Because it gets harder to transfer energy through simple contact whereas charging through USB cable makes it easier. The other reason is, the wasted energy produce more heat on your device which is a drawback. Lets head to the next one.

Remove the phone case

Your charging process works great if your battery is cool, As they are made of lithium ions. All the latest mobile devices now carry a lithium ion battery. The chemistry behind them works great with a cooler battery.

Do you know your battery temperature adapts to your surrounding environment ambiance? For maximum charge the battery temperature should be between 41 and 113 F which is 5 and 45 C. So removing your phone case will help your battery lower the heat.

Please note that you should not put your phone in the fridge if you want to cool it because putting them in a lower temperature than above mentioned range is even more harmful when the efficiency drops off.

Charge using high quality cable

The cable quality can differ vastly between two cables. Here's why,

The charging cable quality can be different. The size of the cable can defer between two charger cables as the number of amps carried by the two are different. Inside one single charger, cables are divided into 4 separate cables which are red, green ,white and black. So you know that red and green cables are for data transferring and the white and black in-charge of the charging process. Note that a usual 28-gauge cable can support around 0.5 amps and a large 24-gauge can bear two amps.

You should know that the low quality cables use 28-gauge which will slow down the speed of your charging.

Download the 'Ampere' app for testing your cable for finding out the most efficient one. This app will let you measure your charger and let you know the discharge rate of your charger. This app seems to be very helpful when you are buying a charger.

Let's save our time from charging our phone for a long time with the help of the above tips we have mentioned. The methods mentioned above will make your charging experience less annoying. We hope you try the tips we mentioned to save the charging time of your device.
